Lyapko applicators - mechanisms of action and areas of application
Lyapko applicators in various modifications (plates, rollers, applique belts, applique tapes) are an original, powerful device with many health-improving therapeutic capabilities.
Their action is based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine - superficial multi-needle acupuncture, as well as on the general physiological mechanisms of life.
Applicator mechanisms of action
The high health-improving effect of Lyapko applicators is due to a combination of intense reactions:
- reflex-mechanical;
- galvanic-electrical;
- immunological.
Reflex-mechanical effect
The reflex-mechanical effect consists in multiple superficial acupuncture of certain zones, biologically active points (BAP), micromassage of the skin, subcutaneous tissues.
The reflex response to multiple needle stimuli is manifested by local, segmental, general reactions.
The local reaction is expressed in a change in the blood supply of the skin area, temperature, sensitivity, the magnitude of the electrical potential and resistance in the affected area. At the site of application of the applicator after the procedure, we observe reddening of the skin, sweating.
Segmental reaction. The skin is equipped with a large variety of sensory nerves and corresponding nerve endings (receptors), due to which it functions as a complex sensory organ. Certain areas of the skin through nerve fibers are connected with the corresponding internal organs, the work of which is regulated by the autonomic nervous system (Fig. 1).
Fig. 1
By acting on the desired area of the skin, we reflexively activate the internal organ associated with it.
General reaction. When conducting superficial multi-needle therapy, irritation of the tactile receptors of the skin occurs, the signal from which, passing through the spinal cord, goes to the brain, which analyzes this impulse.
The body is mobilized for immediate action: the production of biologically active substances in the endocrine glands, in tissues, and, above all, in the skin, is sharply increased, the activity of the cardiovascular system is stimulated, the blood supply is redistributed, substances that can release more energy, deliver more oxygen, strengthen the immune system.
Galvanic-electric action
The electro-galvanic action occurs at the tips of the needles and between needles made of different metals. This helps to improve metabolism, enhances recovery processes, has a resorbing effect, helps in the production of biologically active substances, improves the conduction of nerve impulses, and reduces pain sensitivity.
Also, microionophoresis of the metals from which the needles are made is carried out into the fluid environment of the body, which ensures the normal functioning of various organs and systems at the cellular level.
Immunological reactions.
The Lyapko application devices should be classified as a group of immunostimulants (not of chemical origin!). During the application of the Lyapko application device, the humoral and tissue link of immunity is stimulated.
This increases the level of immune defense and adaptation to disease-causing effects, which is very important at a time when the population of the entire planet has a weakened immune system.
Thus, application therapy has a pronounced analgesic and antispasmodic effect. Improves blood circulation, lymph flow, microcirculation, reduces tissue edema. It activates tissue mechanisms of immune defense, increases the level of its own opiate peptides and antistress hormones in the blood, reduces the level of sensitivity of pain receptors, has a positive psychoemotional effect and, as a result, stimulates general adaptive mechanisms. Contacting the skin, the applicator's needles stimulate the release of a person's internal drugs, including his “internal doctor” in the work.
It is important to note that local (local) improvement of blood circulation during application therapy occurs without additional stress on the heart, since the work of the peripheral circulation is enhanced and the heart is resting at this time. This is very important for all categories of patients and, especially, with ischemic heart disease, circulatory failure of 1–2 degrees, and elderly people.
It can be combined with all types of medication and physiotherapy. The ease of use of Lyapko application devices, their safety allows you to take such procedures at home.
After removing the applicator at the site of its application within 10 minutes, all pores are open, therefore, to improve the healing effect, you can apply ointments, creams that have anesthetic, anti-inflammatory effect.
How to work with the applicator, application zones
In 90% of cases, it is necessary to act on the pain zone, and to increase efficiency on additional and auxiliary zones. It is always necessary to include the main zone (spine) in the general recipe.
The main zones are located on the back of the body, head, neck.
The main ones are named due to the fact that the areas of skin on both sides of the spine and directly above the spine are most closely located from the exits of the roots of the cranial and spinal nerves and other structures.
Very important meridians also pass here. Above the spinous processes along the entire length of the spine passes the posterior median meridian (Fig. 2). This meridian is the ruler of all the main meridians of the Yang type. These are the meridians: gallbladder, small intestine, triple heater, stomach, large intestine, bladder. The posterior meridian controls the protective energy of a person, affects his resistance to diseases.
Fig. 2 Posterior meridian
On the back, 2 fingers (1.5 tsunya) from the spine passes the 1st branch, and 4 fingers (3 tsunya) the 2nd branch of the bladder meridian (Fig. 3). The bladder meridian (V) is the most important energy system of the human body. He is responsible for the condition of the bladder, kidneys, genitals, bone structure, musculoskeletal system, spine, head, ears and hearing, vision.
In addition, the state of the meridian affects all organs and systems of the body, in the area of which it passes. And given its great length, it becomes clear its significance for human health.
Fig. 3 Bladder meridian
Thus, multi-needle different-metal action is desirable and most effective on the area of the skin surface above the spine to the right and left of the spinal column and on the back surface of the trunk, head and neck. You can use it on the spine itself.
The choice of the most important area (zone, strip, segment) of the skin on the posterior surface of the body will depend on the main diagnosis, pathology, area of damage to certain organs, the level of segmental innervation of these organs.
In the guidelines for the application of Lyapko's application therapy to each disease, a schematic drawing is always given, indicating the necessary application areas.
Auxiliary zones are the anterior surface of the torso, head and neck.
Due to the fact that the internal organs and endocrine glands are located directly under the anterior abdominal wall, under the chest, in the neck, face, the impact on them or on individual skin areas (metameres) in these zones with the help of different metal-needle applicators contributes to the regulation, normalization, restoration, improvement and activation of the activity of these organs. The result is achieved faster when using auxiliary zones simultaneously with the main and auxiliary zones.
Additional zones: skin zones of the lower and upper extremities, which are secondary (peripheral) in relation to the (central) structures of the spinal cord and brain.
On the inner and outer surfaces of the arms and legs, there are zones of "Yin" (female) and "Yansky" (male) groups of channels - the meridians of organs located on a certain surface of the arms and legs, and having various groups of points that differ in purpose.
Using for applications and acting on various groups of points of certain channels of the meridians, we have the opportunity to additionally regulate (change, increase or decrease) the activity of certain organs and systems (general action).
Thus, we enhance the work during the application of Lyapko applicators to the main and auxiliary zones and additionally provide a therapeutic effect.
Additional (skin zones of the lower and upper extremities) and auxiliary zones (the front surface of the trunk, head and neck) should be used even when, for a number of reasons, it is impossible to influence the main zone (plaster cast, wound surface and other skin lesions). To enhance the therapeutic effect, it is advisable to include in the formulation the effect on the symmetrical zones of the healthy side.
So: the result is achieved faster when using the main zones simultaneously with additional and auxiliary zones, or if it is not possible, then alternately.
